"Neymar Tests Positive for COVID-19 – Santos Comeback Delayed Again!"

 Brazilian club Santos announced on June 8, 2025, that Neymar has tested positive for COVID-19. He is currently 33 years old.



On Thursday, June 5, he showed symptoms such as a dry cough and fever, after which he was isolated at home. Later, his test came back positive.


Due to his infection, he will not be able to play in Santos’ match against Fortaleza on June 14. However, he was already suspended for that match because of a previous red card.


The club stated that it is unclear how long Neymar’s infection will last. He is currently in home quarantine and under medical supervision.


Meanwhile, Neymar’s contract with Santos is set to expire on June 30, which adds uncertainty about his future.
